Welcome to The Gateway Cottage! Our beautiful upscale 1765 sf "cottage" completed in 2008 is situated at above 7000' altitude in a natural setting on a peaceful acre of cool pines in Northern Arizona. We are located just minutes east of Williams, the Gateway to the Grand Canyon, where you will find plenty of shopping for most anything you need. It's an easy 45 minute/60 mile drive to the south rim of the Grand Canyon, and with Flagstaff 25 minutes and Sedona an hour away, this is a great central location!! The tastefully decorated interior includes 2 KING bedrooms and 2 full baths, plus a sleeping loft with a QUEEN bed and a TWIN bed, as well as a QUEEN sleeper sofa and pack-n-play crib comfortably accommodates up to 9 adult guests. Recent updates have been made with new curtains in living and bedrooms and new coverlets on beds in loft, new microwave, and new 43" UHD TV in downstairs bedroom, new Dishnet Hopper satellite tv system 2/11/19, fresh interior paint February 2019, always ongoing updates and upgrades to keep our home current. See the stars through the skylights from the king size bed in the master and the queen bed in the loft. Both king bedrooms have a tv and dvd player. The fully stocked kitchen includes everything you need, bring your groceries and make a simple or gourmet meal. The laundry room includes linens and towels. Outside relaxation on the deck, the fire pit area or the front porch. There is a land line (phone) in house for local calls. Fun activities (winter and summer) are nearby, including the Grand Canyon, Sedona, Grand Canyon Railway/Polar Express, Bearizona and the Deer Farm, as well as museums, observatories and outdoor recreation such as fishing, hiking, skiing, sledding and more. NotesOur beautifully decorated 1765 sf home on an acre of pines offers 2 King bedrooms, a Queen bed and a twin bed in the loft, a queen sleeper sofa in the living room as well as a playpen/crib and extra pillows. New furniture in living room is super comfortable, and we just installed an electric fireplace insert for a convenient, smoke free flame. There is also a security camera outside for monitoring the home. We provide all linens, kitchenware and utensils, some spices, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and spiced cider. Spend time in Williams shopping the unique stores there, taking a walk in the cool pine scented air or relax on the porch. Pine wood can be found on the lot for the outdoor fire pit. In the back yard there is a large play set for the kids. Please come and enjoy yourselves here at The Gateway Cottage.
